Center for Pain and Supportive Care offers many different complementary interventions. CPSC’s group visit model, the first of its kind in Phoenix and founded by the late Dr. Lisa Stearns, has been implemented to provide social, emotional, and physical support that patients need to improve their overall quality of life, function and relationships. The goal of the group visit model is to educate patients about their chronic pain and offer them options to improve their quality of life outside of traditional medication management and interventional therapy. Interventions applied include breath work, mindfulness, and functional movement.
